Sprite Delight #3

Sprite Delight #3

Hi everyone, It's time once again for another new challenge to begin
over at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog and this time the theme is.........

for more information on our latest challenge just follow the
"Aurora Wings Challenge Blog" link above.

For my Aurora Wings DT sample for the challenge I thought that
I would have a go at making something a little different, so I made
some Origami Lanterns out of vellum for my friends little girl Lily's
bedroom, and here they are.......

To make these lanterns I used heavy weight Parchment Vellum which I created the Origami
Lanterns, I then coloured up Aurora Wings Digi image Wisteria SpriteJasmine Sprite &
Lily of the Valley Sprite using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers.

I then scanned the coloured images into my computer and then resized them
and printed them out onto printable vellum. Next I cut out the images and used
a small corner punch before sticking them onto the lanterns.

I then placed each of the soft white glow LED string lights into the top of each
of the lanterns before using Silicone to seal the light bulb in place and covering
with a hand tied bow which I made in the same colours as each of the sprites.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges

  6. We are all blown away by this, Lorraine! My gosh, I had no idea when you were talking about vellum and other details before the challenge that you were going to come up with THIS!!! It's SO magical, enchanting, sweet, and ... I'm running out of adjectives here. What a perfect decoration for a baby's room, indeed! I can also see this as a lovely decoration for a late spring or summer garden party. You really knocked it out of the park with this one, Lorraine! Thank you so much for a stunning inspiration for our Challenge 23 at Aurora Wings today!
